''Aelia'' by Fotini Kostouli.

Aelia Fotini Kostouli, a new brand founded in 2014 by Fotini Kostouli, is the result of a long path in jewellery making. Since 2007, she has been designing pieces of jewellery for private customers, fashion designers, art galleries and museums.

Fotini Kostouli and her new brand Aelia deliver a specific and very distinctive form, suggesting pieces of jewellery made of alternative materials such as alloy metal or stone, silver, and other recyclable materials that co-exist “unexpectedly together in harmony”.

This year's collection is inspired from planet Earth and is expressed by colors that are predominant in the Greek landscape: blue deriving from the clear skies and the magical Aegean Sea, gold from the warm and welcoming sun, silver for the mystical and promising moon. The items of the collection are created of gold-plated metals, which are hand painted and covered in gold leaf and liquid glass. All round and spherical items naturally resemble the planet and guide us to a journey in fantasy.

Within the collection one may find more “standard” items that are made of cables, wires, chains, leather and semi-precious stones, items that each year are “freshened up” with a synchronous point of view but altogether follow the same distinctive pattern.

The collection is complemented by hand bags made of leather and recyclable materials combined with unique items’ suggestions for special occasions such as wedding or christening ceremonies.

Creations from the Aelia Fotini Kostouli collection have been exhibited in the “A Jewel Made in Greece” show on February 2015 at “Technopolis” in Athens, Greece as well as in “Athens Xclusive Designers Week – summer elements” show on March 2015. On November 2015, items from the Aelia Fotini Kostouli collection were exhibited in the European Union building in Brussels.

Items from the collection can be found at the following locations:

/Art Gallery Euripides, Kolonaki/ The Art of Museums, Piraeus/ BITZONI, Piraeus/ ChicinosShop, Sikinos/
